Terms of Service

ARQON is an online store for architectural digital products and design tools, operated from Mohandessin, Giza, Egypt. All products sold on ARQON are owned and sold directly by ARQON. Full contact details are on the contact page.

You need an account to buy and to download. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

One account is for one person or one practice. We may suspend an account being shared to distribute files beyond the licence, or used to abuse the service.

When you buy a file you receive a licence to use it. You do not buy the copyright, which stays with ARQON or the original author. Unless a product page says otherwise, your licence lets you:

• Use the file in your own projects, commercial or personal, for as many projects as you like.
• Modify it, adapt it, and incorporate it into your own drawings and models.
• Include it, as part of a finished drawing or render, in work you deliver to clients.
• Keep using it indefinitely, including after your account is closed.

• Reselling, redistributing or giving away the file itself, modified or not.
• Including it in a library, template pack, course or bundle that you distribute.
• Sharing your account, or the files, with people outside your practice.
• Uploading it to another website, a file-sharing site, or a public repository.
• Claiming authorship of the asset itself.

The distinction is straightforward: you may sell the work you make with our files. You may not sell our files.

Prices are shown in your local currency where we support it, and are set for each market rather than converted at the day's rate. The price and currency you see at checkout is what you are charged.

Payment is taken by a payment provider; we never handle your card details. Your order is confirmed only once that provider confirms the payment to us — returning to the site after paying does not by itself complete an order.

We may change prices at any time. A change never affects an order already placed.

The tools that generate drawings run on our own servers and produce geometry from the settings you give them. They are drafting aids: the output is a starting point that a qualified person must check. Nothing produced by them is a substitute for professional judgement, and we do not warrant that a generated layout complies with any building code.

You own what you generate and may use it freely. Credits are consumed per run, are refunded automatically when a run fails, and have no cash value beyond what is set out in the refund policy.

We take care over the library, but we supply files as they are. We do not warrant that a given file suits your particular project, that it will open in every version of every program, or that the site will be available without interruption.

Where liability can lawfully be limited, ours is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Egyptian law.

You may close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly the licence conditions. Files you bought before that point remain licensed to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction. Your rights as a consumer under Egyptian law are unaffected by anything written here.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and a material change is notified to account holders by email.
