Furniture Layout Generator

Draw and furnish a whole floor plan, exported as editable CAD

Lays out a complete plan — rooms, walls, doors, windows, dimension chains — and furnishes every room from the ARQON library at the real sizes of the products in it. Apartments, villas, studios and restaurants, each with the rooms that property type needs, plus any extra rooms you name. Four arrangements are drawn both ways round and the one that suits your plot is kept. Circulation is set out first and the rooms are cut from what is left, so no room is reached through another. Clearances are real: 900 mm to open a wardrobe, 750 mm to pull out a dining chair, and a piece that will not fit is reported instead of forced in. Runs entirely on ARQON.

Each of these is a full plan — rooms, walls, doors, windows and dimensions — with the rooms that property type needs.

How the plan is organised. Leave it on best fit and every arrangement is drawn both ways round and the one that suits your plot is kept.

Shapes taken from real plans: an L keeps one back corner clear (a garden, a light well, a boundary you cannot build to), a T keeps both and narrows the building towards the back. Set the size of the piece kept clear below.

L-shaped plots only.

Land kept clear in front of the building, drawn as lawn with the porch on it. 0 builds right up to the boundary.

Land kept clear down each side of the building.

Land kept clear behind the building.

The room this property type repeats: bedrooms in an apartment or villa, private dining rooms in a restaurant. The first bedroom is drawn as the master. A studio is one room and ignores this.

One too small for a strip of its own is put behind a bedroom as an ensuite.

Anything else you want in the plan, separated by commas. Understood: store, pantry, laundry, maid's room, dressing room, walk-in closet, prayer room, balcony, terrace, study, home office, guest WC, entrance lobby, kitchenette, meeting room, staff room. A number in front works too — "2 stores, a maid's room, balcony".

Clear route kept through each room.

The corridor the rooms open off.

Its swing is kept clear.

Rooms are rarely plain rectangles. L loses a corner to a stair or a neighbour; T leaves a stem off a wider head; U wraps a recess; chamfered cuts a corner at 45° to face a view; bay pushes a window out. Single-room mode only.

A fraction of the room: 0.2 is a shallow notch, 0.5 a deep one. Ignored for a plain rectangle.

Which corner the notch or chamfer sits on. Applies to L and chamfered.
